In order to take care of the personal business, first they had to return back to their homes. Because of their very active life styles, they had not taken the time to establish their own separate residences. Although all eight of them were no longer in their teen age years. But when they told all of their parents, that the United States Coast Guard had personally arrange to contact them, their parents were well pleased!
All eight of them contacted their local paramedics and police departments, and notified them about the United States Coast Guard. "They were well please indeed!" They responded "Good luck in the Coast Guard."
They decided to contact their Public Television Stations, and notify them about their being personally recruited in our national Coast Guard. All eight of them were willing to appear on their stations in their Coast Guards' uniforms. But first they had to get permission from the Coast Guard to do so.
Realizing good publicity when they recognized it, there was no "red tape to cut." And approval was instantaneously granted. All of their fellow workers in the para medic, police, and emergency services were very supportive.
And of course Jeff and Rick's folks were very happy to tell their other family and friends, "They first got their starts by working with us."They told them." "Now we are training other boys and other girls this time as well."
The local and social media outlets displayed their pictures in their new United States Coast Guard Uniforms. Under their captions, "Local Youth Join the United States Coast Guard." Under their picture captions they reiterated the stories about how our coast guard had made special arrangements to personally recruit all eight of them!
The next four years of their lives were to become dedicated to the Coast Guard. But their plans did change because they all decided to make the United States Coast Guard their final career choices!
