Search Part Two B the Rescues

by Roxanne Lea Dubarry

Preface

They were conduting mock underwater rescue operations.

Mike McCormick Evans, received his certificate for swimming and hung it on his bedroom wall. It was the weekend and Brian and Kelly were going teach them their secret for underwater swimming. The two boys took them to a small cliff and showed them the correct procedure for diving off of it. All of the remaining six boys followed their excellent example and dived. Of course they remained in the same spot until all of the teens had dived.

"All of you teen heroes listen to us. Take several deep breaths and swim underwater." And by the time the weekend was coming to an end, the rest of them had mastered Brian and Kelly's method for underwater swimming, and natural terrain climbing.

The teens continued to master the emergency first aid treatment of mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. As well as the other Red Cross emergency treatments. All eight boys were certified by the Red Cross. Their certificates were displayed on their bed room walls.

Their younger siblings showed off their elder brother's certificates. Unknown to the teen heroes, their families were keeping tract, of their adventures. And showing them off to their neighbors and friends. Whenever they were in public, people took their pictures and asked them to sign their autographs. They also wanted them to pose in pictures with them.

In order for all of them to avoid the crowds, they never drove the same routes to their high school twice in a row. Marie and Carla had a lot of boys who wanted to date them. It was all because they wanted to pump information from them about their older brother's current activities and their friends.

For example one of the boys in the swimming classes started drowning. Brian and Kelly sprung into immediate action. Both of them worked together as team mates, to rescue the drowning boy.

Brian and Kelly took turns performing mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Thus they were able to save a valuable human life. Their gym teacher and classmates were impressed. The high school's newspaper and radio station broadcast-ed it. All of this valuable information was passed on through the information grape vine via their younger siblings. Their local press and radio stations also broadcast-ed it.

The following weekend the youth hid themselves in one of the parent's secluded cabin. They spent the weekend relaxing and fishing. But they did not take a break from homework. At the closure of the weekend, they returned back home after dark.

Brian and Kelly taught them the snorkeling procedure and they practiced it. After a short period of time, the rest of the involved youth, mastered it. All of them knew how to preform water rescue operations, including riding water jet bikes. They all progressed to scuba diving.

When all of them practiced: throwing down rafts, and jumping from helicopters in scuba gear, it was broadcast-ed. Of course, they were practicing mock rescue operations. However, they also practiced underwater scuba diving.

All of them watched the 1965 James Bond movie Thunderball that featured underwater scuba battling diving and swimming. But this time it was different because their families and friends insisted of watching Thundberball along with them.

"You boys are already much too famous to plan on becoming secret agent men." Their families persisted.

"Whatever gave all of you people the ridiculous ideas, we were planning on becoming international spies working for M16, in Her majesty's secret service! Don't worry about us we don't plan on having any 00's attached to our names!"

"What a relief! You hotshot kids better be tell-in' us the truth!" their loved ones exclaimed.

However, the grape vine told a different story. The boys were training themselves to become secret agents for the UK government! The boys were hauled down to their principal's office. Where the law enforcement officers were waiting for them. Where they vehemently denied all of those false accusations.

"Wasn't it obvious? They were training themselves for emergency search and rescue operations!" They loudly responded.

Love as always,
