Fidget Spinners

by Adventure Wynn

Being out of the loop, I've only recently become aware of something called a fidget spinner. This illustrates perfectly an idea I've had for decades.

You've probably never noticed this habit Americans have of using the excuse of directing a bad habit so that they can justify indulging in it. Like an Alcoholic that only drinks at certain times of the day...cessation as an objective has been forgotten in society.

We are convinced that all sorts of addictions are manageable as long as we indulge in the thought or behavior in a structured way. This runs against 1000s of years of spiritual teachings.

I wonder if industrialists that hock little plastic doodads have become our philosophical teachers.
