Halloween Cats

by Erik Scott Booth

They stare at things that aren't really there,

and howl all night, deep in despair.

They hiss at what seems apparently nothing,

and are always in the middle of something.

They can scare you to death when your alone in the house,

and attack your ankle and pretend it's a mouse.

They will creep under the covers to play with your feet,

and get lost in confusion between Trick or Treat.

They can be your worst nightmare or your best friend,

and they will always be there for you in the end.

So if you are wondering, why this I write,

just remember, for cats, it's always Halloween Night.

CATS!!!!!!!!
