Biography

Gabriel Urbina attended, and graduated from college under the G.I. Bill. He writes mainly about veterans, their postwar contributions to society, and the moral conflicts war brings. An area of strong interest is the field of Education, and different styles of learning.

His characters and narratives explore the multiple American identities. Love, solid friendships, a sense of family, and work ethic are present in his writings.

His fictional world is populated by soldiers, nurses, teachers, students, counselors and librarians. His favorite authors are Pio Baroja, W. Somerset Maugham, and Georges Simenon.
