There's Crying Going On

by Jerry Ferguson

Behind the gates, the walls, the doors,

There's crying going on.

In places you least expect,

There's crying going on.

Before the day begins and the night falls asleep,

There's crying going on.

In the dirty streets and under linen sheets,

There's crying going on.

Desperate, lonely, fearful tears cover their faces when there's crying go on.

Noiseless agony, muffled in tear stained pillows,

When there's crying going on.

Tears that have no ened, tears not brushed away by a friend, when there's crying going on.

On sandy beaches and on tenement rooftops,

There's crying going on.

Without Hope, without Love, without Faith in God,

There's crying going on.

All kinds of people, not sleeping, only thinking,

When there's crying going on.

With every breath that's taken, another heart is Breaking when there's crying going on.

Bring us together so we can be there,

When there's crying going on.

Help us hold each other, like a sister and a brother, when there's crying going on.

Let us stop the crying and dying by relying on the Faith we have in a Loving Higher Power

When there's crying going on.

Let us not forget, Life is Worth Living,

And the time will come when all the tears will be

Gone!
