Plague Which I've Never Sought

By Jaystone

I've lived more than I should

Done more than I could

Yet I walk a path alone

A road not yet trodden

As I bare the markings of my sins

I can't bare my soul

For you would only deny

As you know you always do

I don't need your shoulder to cry

Just a wee bit of your time

Would you ever listen

If I told you everything

Like a canary I'll sing

A song of dissonant dischord

Of what life I've borne

A wounded man can't heal himself

If he has no bandages

Seek my mere morsel of food

In this eco system of doubt

To live a plague I've never sought
