Watch Your Step

Watch Your Step

James was a young boy, full of energy and youth. Every day he went outside with his friends and played every game they could think of. Unfortunately, he had a remarkably bad habit of not watching his step, and this got him into a lot of trouble. Every time he got off the bus to school he would miss the last step, causing him to tumble to the concrete. Every time he played football James would step out of bounds, earning him the scorn of his teammates. As he grew older this habit became more pronounced, so prominent to the point that his parents sat him down every night and tried to talk him into watching where he stepped. Despite their warnings James continued in his stubborn ways, always falling and tumbling all over the place, like a puppet without strings. When James became a teenager, things became worse. With the addition of texting, James became a road hazard, causing numerous car accidents wherever he crossed the sidewalk. This problem became so bad his parents strapped a flashing light to his back so that cars could see him coming long before he reached the road. Despite all of this, James continued his back habit of not looking before he stepped. This continued until James reached thirty, when he went on a vacation to Egypt. Once there he traveled to small town and spent the night there. Waking up James decided to check out the local oasis, just several hundred miles out from the town. It only took several hours to get there, and luckily James did not drive. Once he arrived James looked all around at the wildlife surroundings the watering hole. There were numerous reptiles, ranging from serpents to lizards. Even the camels seemed to have congregated around this oasis. Unfortunately, James so caught up with looking about that he didn't watch where he was going. Just ahead of him was the dumping grounds of the camels, and many of them were using it. Instead of watching his step, James stared at the sky, and fell into the shithole. Landing on his back James had just enough time to see a camel rear back over the edge of the hole, and then everything turned to blackness. The End. Don't forget to check out the moral haha.

Moral: Watch where you step, lest you step into a shithole.
