Just for You

by Kathleen Kena

               Just For You.

    I'll gather morning's gems

    the glitter on the dew

    red rubies tinged with gold

    inside dawn's scarlet hue.

    I'll paint a diamond swan

    upon a sapphire lake

to give to you as my

    token-love keepsake.

I'll reach up for the jewels

    twinkling in each star

    the moon a precious pearl

    bright shining up afar.

    I'll go to Paradise

    and ask the angels to

    play their harps and sing

the song I wrote for you.

I give to you my heart

I give to you my soul

     accept these gifts to make

     my life complete and whole.
