MIDDLE-AGED RIVER (From my journal "OUTSIDE LOOKING IN")

Like a sluggish mud-infested stream
laden with toxic impurities
collected along its ominous course--
so too is my life,
m e a n d e r i n g
throughtout
endless terrain
in search of
a place
to unburden
my load.
