Thich Nhat Hahn said that mindfulness and meditation are like sitting on the banks of a river. The river being your stream of consciousness. When meditating you are just sitting there witnessing your mental manifestations float downstream. It gives you the opportunity to question yourself and ask why did that appear?
Do you recall the Cuyahoga River catching on fire? Do you know it actually caught fire at least 13 times? When we give unfettered access to the unnatural greed of industry these fires become the new natural.
When I meditate sometimes I feel like I'm peering into the Cuyahoga. I know if I but look upstream, I will find a pipe dumping raw sewage. Why else is all that shit floating into view? That wasn't always there. No doubt it will trace back to a data center. When I finally ignite maybe I'll shoot up a McDonalds.
