"Big tobacco companies historically used the film industry for propaganda through product placement and financial ties, a practice that glamorized smoking and influenced viewers to start. While direct payments were banned in a 1998" Wasn't it Mike Wallace who always introduced himself with "... And the cigarette is Parliament." He even smoked while interviewing the Tobacco industry execs?! I bet he got a free carton for that one.
This is the industrial propaganda model. How does that continue today? Obviously firearms have adopted this propaganda tool. Am I the only one who thinks it's suspicious that guns seem to be the only thing that can't be CGI'd into a film? It reminds me of actors portraying paraplegics. If they were paralyzed they wouldn't be acting. John Dillinger escaped prison with a bar of soap carved into a gun...but for million dollar block busters they only use real guns. WTF? Ironically they call a real gun a prop gun if it is supposed to have blanks but even with blanks Jon-Erik Hexum killed himself with a blank to the temple. Why doesn't Hollywood smoke real weed in movies? Those fake chokes are like fake yawns and a dope smoker sees right through it. But who the fuck cares? Why does Dirty Harry have to shill for Ruger?
Is smoking more of a health threat to us than firearms? We broke Big Tobaccos choke hold on us and we can do the same for the firearms industry. Big Arma uses their technique and we can use ours to get them out of their prominent role in the movie industry. Why can't we have fake generic guns in movies? Just because a half a million weirdo's jack off with their Desert Eagles wearing their full metal jackets?
Last night me and Ana watched some Jason Statham movie and I was hesitant because I knew it would be a blood bath. She kept covering her eyes because that's what an unconditioned person does to extreme violence. A normal person doesnt accept that shit as reality.
