Preface

Toasty, the adorable little pup with floppy ears and a wagging tail, got into some mischief and did not get to have a cookie. This short story tells the dog's perspective on how he feels about not getting that delicious cookie.

Toasty, the adorable little pup with floppy ears and a wagging tail, was feeling a wave of sadness wash over him. You see, he had been eyeing a delicious cookie resting on the kitchen counter, its golden brown surface just beckoning to be devoured. But alas, Toasty, couldn't indulge in that sweet treat today. You see, he had gotten himself into some mischief, which meant he had been labeled a "bad dog" by his owner.

As he sat there, heart heavy and his eyes glistening with a hint of regret, Toasty couldn't help but think about how wonderful that cookie would taste. The aroma of chocolate chips wafted through the air, dancing and tantalizing around him. But he knew he was on a time-out. His little canine heart ached with longing, wishing he could turn back time and undo the little escapades that had led him to this moment of disappointment.

It wasn't fair, he thought, that such a small mistake should keep him from enjoying something so scrumptious. After all, wasn't he just a playful pup trying to explore the world? With each passing minute, the cookie seemed to glow brighter, as if mocking his predicament. He let out a soft whimper, contemplating his choices and wishing for the chance to be the good dog he truly yearned to be.
