Dashing sideways, Rex ducked behind a wall for cover. Spencer was shooting relentlessly at him and he needed to get open. Suddenly, fire came out from the side of him just missing him. He ducked and ran away from the incoming fire. The paintball course was spread out like a miniature playground with branching pathways and tunnels. In the course were six players: Rex, Spencer, Alan, Tobias, Rick and Bort. A long silence followed when Rex was in his new hiding spot. He was wondering if the others would find and shoot him. ‘It was too quiet for too long,’ he thought to himself. A scream then rippled from the air. Rex knew that scream. It was Tobias. Dashing out of his hiding spot he stopped himself before he could get any closer. ‘Is this another trap,’ he wondered. He wasn’t sure if this was another trap or trick to get him in the open. Rex started to walk slowly to the target instead. Suddenly, he looked up and saw Tobias up in a tree. ‘Shush,’ he said to Tobias. He had identified the pulled rope that was keeping him up in the tree. With a swift movement of his hand, the rope and Tobias came down. Panting, Tobias thanked him. ‘Thanks’, Tobais said. ‘How did you get stuck up in that tree,’ he asked. Tobias just stared at him. ‘I was in a trap obviously,’ Tobias said sarcastically. ‘Yes, I know that, 'Rex added angrily. What I meant was do you know who set the trap.’ ‘Oh, um I think that it was…
Before he could finish a single paintball hit Tobias in the back of the head. He collapsed on the ground. Before Rex could do anything about it the sniper was now starting to shoot at him. He ran away back to his hiding spot. The shots stopped after Rex was out of range of the weapon. ‘Damn it,’ the sniper said. He decided to slink back to a tree to lean against. He took off his goggles and pulled the bandana from his face. It was Alan. Alan was contemplating what he should do next. He had just kicked Tobias from the game and barely missed Rex. Now he had to decide who to shoot next. Just then he saw, just by the narrow gorge a stone’s throw away. He saw Rex.
Rex was walking through the gorge. It was calm and peaceful in the air. He could hear shooting and the screams of the damned. He turned back and smiled. All that fighting was happening over there and not here. His scenes were heightened. He knew that Alan likes to creep up from behind and he was waiting for him. ‘Just get him into the open,’ thought Rex. ‘Then I can shoot him.’ He carried on walking. Up from the cliffs Alan was stalking him. Up top from the cliffs he was watching him. Slowly, walking, trying to get into the perfect position. Then unexpectedly he started to climb down from the cliff and tried to get to Rex’s position below. While he was climbing down from the cliff, he started to lose his grip. In an attempt to save himself he grabbed on to a nearby tree branch. However, the branch didn’t support his weight and snapped. Alan slid down and fell on the ground. Rex looked back with confusion only to see Alan lying on the ground. Quickly acting Rex grabbed his gun and started firing at Alan. Alan ducked, ran and also opened fire with his own gun. Both of them missed. Then they both ran out of ammunition. Both Alan and Rex didn’t know what to do then. ‘So, do we fight now,’ said Alan. ‘I guess so,’ said Rex. They both beat up each other. However, as they were fighting they didn’t notice that the path they were on narrows to a steep cliff down below. So, as they were fighting they came closer, and closer. When suddenly they fell down. Tumbling down the cliff until they hit a rock. They both were knocked out from the impact.
The end.
