In the outskirts of the Magic Kingdom, three young wizards trained under the same banner: Obi, the boy with flames in his veins; Gon, the storm-touched prodigy; and Rin, the gentle heart of the trio, who tamed the fiercest rivers with her water magic. They dreamed of one day protecting the kingdom as Magic Knights, their grimoires flickering with new spells every time they pushed themselves to the edge. One day, the group took a low-ranking C-level mission, or so they thought. Obi was the one who pushed for it, hoping to impress Rin and using a new spell he had discovered. A band of rogue wizards had been spotted stealing grimoires from the villagers. Eager to prove themselves, the trio ventured into the forested outskirts, laughter echoing under the trees. Obi, ever bold, led the charge, his grimoire glowing with its latest spell: “Blazing Fist: Crimson Typhoon.” But what awaited them was not petty thieves. They were ambushed by high-ranking war mages, traitors who once served the kingdom. The leader, a grim, pale-eyed sorcerer named Maldrake, wielded dark crystal magic, his grimoire pulsating with curses. His goal: to harvest the trio’s raw, untempered magic. The battle was chaotic. Rin fought bravely with “Torrent Veil: Siren’s Ward”, shielding them from deadly attacks. Obi’s flames tore through the trees, and Gon’s lightning howled through the sky with “Stormlance: Judgment Crash.” But in a cruel twist, Gon’s ultimate spell spiraled out of control, and Maldrake redirected the blast. Rin, standing between the attack and Obi, was struck. Her eyes widened. Then stillness. She collapsed, her grimoire falling shut beside her. It seemed that his strong lightning was powerful against Rin's water magic. Obi’s scream tore through the storm. They said Gon had lost control. They said it was an accident. But all Obi saw was betrayal. He vanished into the wilds, heart burning with rage. His grimoire began evolving unnaturally, pages manifesting twisted, powerful spells like “Infernal Bloom: Ashen Requiem” and “Hellfire Binding: Soul Shackle.” 2 For years, he hunted the shadows, growing stronger, crueler. Rumors spread of a lone fire mage who obliterated bandit kingdoms and shattered cursed towers. His vengeance was not just for Rin but was against the world that let it happen. But then he found the truth. In a ruined temple where Maldrake had once hidden, Obi fought him again, this time as a true rival. The battle scorched the mountains. Maldrake’s grimoire summoned “Crystal Cataclysm: Mirror of Ends”, but Obi, now awakened, countered it with his final page: “Phoenix Ascension: Flameheart Rebirth.” He saw visions in the flames, Rin trapped in a slumber-like stasis beneath Maldrake’s magic, not dead… just sealed. Gon appeared, older and scarred, but still with that same guilt in his eyes. He helped Obi defeat Maldrake once and for all, combining “Thunderclap Prism: Heaven’s Reckoning” with Obi’s phoenix flame. The seal broke. They went and saw Rin, awake once again. It seemed that Rin, too, was special. Now, Obi no longer burns with hatred. He is the Flameheart, a beacon of hope, protector of the weak. His grimoire, once darkened by vengeance, now glows with a new goal. And as the trio stood together again; flame, lightning, and water. They knew this time, they wouldn’t let the world fall apart.

Preface
Magic is not merely power—it is memory, emotion, and the will to protect. In the annals of the Magic Kingdom, countless tales are told of brave knights and terrible betrayals, of spells born in desperation and friendships forged in fire. This is one such tale.
Before they were names etched in song and sorrow, Obi, Gon, and Rin were simply students—young mages dreaming of knighthood, their futures unwritten. They did not seek glory, only purpose. They believed in each other, in the strength of their bond, and in the flames of hope that flickered within.
But all legends begin in innocence… and are tempered by tragedy.
This is the story of Obi—the Flame Mage.
And of the day everything changed.
