Remember how guilty you used to feel when you would end up with some old AAbatteries to dispose of? They always were clearly marked "Recycle Please". It was like the first thing that introduced the idea of recycling into society.
Now we have lithium ion batteries in everything. Where is that same level of concern for recycling? Does it even appear on the product as your responsibility anymore?
In the Industrial Matrix you are encouraged to dispose of your lithium ion batteries as if they were cigarette butts in the days of Big Tobacco. Vape pens in the strata may identify our culture to future archeologists.
How many bubble gum flavored vape pens go in the land fill every day? This is the same Lithium ion in a Tesla battery.
I saw a "60 Minutes" episode about wild fires in California. There I learned It takes a team of six firefighters 5 hours to remove one lithium ion battery from a burnt out Tesla. Why are we not encouraged to throw these in the landfill too? It seems like an aberration in the matrix. That's another source of the dissonance identified.
