Fallen Godslayer Part 2

by R.C duke

Omato Izaki (35), born on October 15, 1984, in Kyoto, Japan, and Mizuru Izaki (31), born on August 24, 1988, in Osaka, Japan, were brothers. During their junior high and high school years, they were very athletic. Omato did sports such as basketball, track, tennis, football, and wrestling. Mizuru did less sports, as he was more on the studious side. Nonetheless, he still did sports like swimming, track, baseball, and badminton. Outside of school, they took martial arts lessons. Once they graduated, they had initially wanted to pursue a professional career in their favorite sport, Omato’s being football, and Mizuru’s being track. However, life had other plans for them. They were inspired by their dad, Hayate Izaki, to pursue a career in professional wrestling. While in Japan, they made a name for themselves as one of the top tag team duos, and called themselves “The Elemental Dragons”. Omato would later leave the wrestling company to pursue a career in MMA, where he also found huge success. However, he didn’t enjoy it as much, and would later return to wrestling. By the time Omato was 30, and his brother was 26, they decided to move to the U.S.A. They joined a major wrestling company, and again, found major success due to their talent. They won title belt after title belt, and match after match, so eventually, they decided to retire from wrestling out of boredom.

Now the year is 2019, and they have decided to help their older brother, Aota Izaki, with his overseas business in Japan. They were able to gain lots of revenue from this, but suddenly, they got news saying that their father had passed away at the age of 59 due to a brain hemorrhage. Due to the loss of their father, Omato and Mizuru decided to return to the U.S to take care of their mother, Ikane Izaki. Due to all the money they had earned from wrestling and their brothers' company, they had more than enough money to completely retire and support their mother and support their own lives too. However, in the next few months, it would be one phone call that would change the lives of Omato and Mizuru forever.

Omato received a call from someone he hadn’t seen in years. The person had requested that Omato and Mizuru come to a specified location to receive some special training. The person said that after they receive the special training, they must join the “Organization of Heroes”, and make it to the top ranks in S-class. The person said that further details will be discussed after the following things have been completed. Omato had never heard of any sort of hero organization, so he asked when it was established. The person said that as of recently, people have been receiving mysterious powers due to some “unknown reason”, and that some of these people have decided to become threats to society. Due to this, some of the people who received the mysterious power, had decided to band together and form the Organization of Heroes. Omato had no objections to the plan, but wondered why the heroes already in the organization couldn't handle it. The person says that it’s because they are the only one aware of who is behind the mysterious power distribution, and they want them dead.

After they explained to their mom and brother that they would be gone for potentially a long time, Omato and Mizuru head to the location that they were told, but shockingly, the location they were given is the Organization of Heroes headquarters, and standing at the front door was the person they were on the phone with. Omato, not having seen them in years, greets them with excitement. However, Mizuru is confused, as he has never seen this person in his entire life. Omato explains to his brother that this is no ordinary person, and that he’s actually not even human. The person goes on to identify themselves by saying “I, am one of the five celestial beings of this world, and the most powerful of the five. I am, Iorrno Verdiichi”. Even more confused, Mizuru asks his brother how he knows one of the five celestials personally. Omato explains that he met Iorrno while walking in downtown Tokyo on a Japan trip. Iorrno explains that he visits Earth often, but has to shapeshift in order to not stand out. Even though everyone knows of the existence of the five celestials, no one has ever seen them before. Mizuru expected the meeting story to be more interesting, but shrugs it off as he, Iorrno, and Omato walk into the headquarters.

Iorrno explains to Mizuru and Omato that their training will take place at the Organization of Heroes headquarters, and that he will be in charge of preparing them to join the organization. Iorrno also explains that while he usually had to train the newbies for around two years just to have them ready to join B-class rank, he predicts that Omato and Mizuru will only need 6 months. However, Omato objects, and says that he would like to be trained for double that amount, and his brother agrees. Iorrno understands why, as a year of training would most likely get the brothers an A-class position, possibly even a low rank S-Class. Mizuru, being the thinker he is, asks how he and Omato could possibly climb the ranks, due to the fact that they do not have a mysterious power, unlike the rest of the heroes. Iorrno explains that he can easily solve that, as he has the ability to give out these mysterious powers. Before either Omato or Mizuru asks, he clarifies that he is not the one who has been recklessly giving these powers out. Iorrno also says that while he can give out these powers, he is only limited to giving out elemental powers, so no telekinesis or mind control. Disregarding all of that, Omato asks when the training will start, as he is eager to become a hero. Iorrno smiles calmly, and says, “The training begins, NOW!”

Before the training can commence, Omato halts, as he asks Iorrno how it is physically possible to match the abilities of elite enhanced heroes without having any sort of powers. Iorrono realizes that he forgot to clarify the fact that Omato and Mizuru will each be receiving their own elemental powers, and that the process will start now. Iorrno asks both of them to sit down, close their eyes, and relax their bodies completely. He then places his left hand on Omato’s head, and his right hand on Mizuru’s head. By doing this, Iorrno can quickly assess their strengths and weaknesses, and give them the power that best suits their needs. The power bestowal process lasts about 3 seconds, and after the process is complete, Iorrno reveals what their powers are, and why.

“Mizuru, you have been blessed with the power of pyrokinesis, the ability to generate and manipulate fire. I gave you this particular ability because you lack overall destructive power. You are the type to fight with precision rather than destruction. Having pyrokinesis allows you to focus on enhancing your attack potency, and it of course can allow for precision as well.”

“Omato, you have been blessed with the power of aerokinesis, allowing you to create, shape, and control air and wind. I gave you this ability in the hopes that you learn how to control your strength, as aerokinesis can range from creating a slight breeze, to being able to blow away or crush anything with wind pressure. However, it is your job to learn how to control the amount of strength you put into each attack. Since aerokinesis has many applications, having it will force you to think critically in situations when it is necessary.”

Omato and Mizuru, now clear on their powers, ask Iorrno if the training will officially start. Before anything, Iorrno gives one last monologue. “Just to be clear, my goal is to enhance your physical capabilities, as well as your strategy and battle IQ. There will be real missions where you will work with real heroes of the organization. However, I will be overseeing all of it, so if anything gets too out of hand, I can easily stop it. While I will show each of you the basics on how to use your elemental power, I cannot teach it all. You must figure out the way you want to use your power by doing some self-training. No two people will use the same power the same way, so it is up to you both to learn how to use your power in the way that suits you best. Even after the training year is over, I will be open to battle training if either of you want to do some self-evaluation to see how well you’ve mastered your element. Now then, that’s enough talking, time to train!”

-1 YEAR 2 MONTH TIMESKIP-

*The training was successful, as Omato and Mizuru were both able to squeeze into the row-ranking S-class

Omato and Mizuru are now sitting at the rectangular table in the S-class section of the Organization of Heroes building. The table now has 18 chairs, opposed to the usual 16, as two new members are now here, Omato as rank 17 and Mizuru as rank 18. “So u’re the new S-classers eh?”, said a voice coming from the other side of the table. “N’ver thought I’d see either of ya two again, especially not in a place like this.” Omato looked to see who the voice was coming from. Once he realized who it was, he said “I’m more surprised to see you here if anything. Never thought you of all people would become a hero, Travis.” It was S-class, rank 12, Travis Tuzui. Travis Tuzui (37) , born on September 9, 1983. He was born in South Korea, where he was raised by his Japanese father and his South-Korean mother. When Travis turned 20, he moved 20 America to study abroad, then moved to Japan at 26 to finally settle down. Before the mysterious power distribution, he worked as a detective, and was one of the best in the nation.
