Dreams Are Safer Now

by Dharmendra Kumar

Preface

No. He isn't weak. He is strong. He is strong to let him get away with it.

was wide awake,

 let him in and steal it,

wintnessed it when he shattered it into pieces,

was wide awake,

let him slog away,

picked till the last piece,

put it back in eyes,

was wide awake,

shut 'em tight checking any fall,

 sang oneself a lullaby,

slept like an exhausted queen,

no more ,was wide awake,

for it now lied in pieces ,

in pieces but safer,

now sleeps .......
