The Exposed

by Sonia Cheug

The exposed man was a week is pathetic excuse of a human being . He was wrapped in his own guilt and self importance . A small time nothing who worked as a broker . Wearing cheep , tacky suits and repeating the same old lies and promises over and over again . His eyes are a piercing brown colour , with an evil twinkle of deception and hatred for everyone else , including himself . He was a self confessed know it all and a man with very few real friends .

The exposed man looked into her eyes several times and denied absolutely everything he wrote to her in his letters . Her face dropped and her heart sank further into despair . She wanted to punch through the walls and scream the roof down .

He left her . He left her in a country to wonder the streets all by her self and in a place , where she had never ever felt so much isolation and silence within her own life .

Everything had stopped working or moving . She remembered spending the longest three weeks of her life out there. She often cried herself to sleep and hoped he would come back and find her but he never did . He never did .

She remembers sitting on a staircase crying and hearing classical music pour out through the loud speakers . It was like a sudden rush through her body . From the souls of her feet all the way up through to her brain . It felt like an over empowering love , which hit her like a lightning bolt .

She was surrounded by young minded travellers such as

her self , who all looked out for her and she will never be able to forget about them nor thank them enough . They were like her immortal heroes and heroines and that piece of music was like a sudden ray of light .

The young girl was exposed to an unknown world and the man was and will always be exposed ,

within his own tortured silence .

The End .
