Mike Busby

I live in Rochdale in Greater Manchester.

I started writing lyrics and poetry when I was 15 but kind of left it behind when I got married in 1972.

Now, aged 63, I have gone back to writing, especially short story writing. I have had a colourful life, spending my late teens as front man in a rock band. Most of my working life has been at managerial level in retail, manufacturing and childcare, so I have a broad spectrum on which to base my stories

Originally from Blackburn in Lancashire, I am proud of and have never lost my northern accent. It has proved to be very useful for dialect poetry... if you can get past all the apostrophes!

Finally, it's great to be here and part of your writing community. I hope I can play a useful part!
