  • From Ruth Deming on At Ease, Soldier

Appreciate your comment, Travis. Was writing a flash fiction and making the point of why veteran soldiers bring themselves and everyone else down with them. Incomprehensible to most people. I did look at one of your stories just now, well done.

  • This a great yarn about the effects of PTSD on soldiers returning home, very terse, and to the point, but the characters and story were not too strong for my liking, because the way it was described was too direct and punctual. Think of describing things more like you described the caved in buildings where children played in Kabul, like a chocolate cake, because descriptions like that live and breath in a readers mind.

  • Interesting story!
