Biography
I am a former Bilingual (Spanish) School Social Worker, now retired from the New York City Department of Education. I am involved with the UFT retirees program, where I attend Creative Writng Classes and others. I also attend Sarah Lawrence College for Theater and Creative Writing classes for Seniors, on Saturdays. In addition, I have participated in various similar classes at Westchester Community College. My goals are to write memoirs, telling the story of my journey in different ways, to my family and friends.
I Graduated from Forham University, where I obtained several degrees: In Psychiatric Social Work and in Educational Administration. Before that I attended the Catholic University of Ponce, Puerto Rico, where I also trained as Teacher. All these past years I devoted my professional life to do Social Work and write Psycho Social Assessaments or Social Histories, as we call them. Now the time has come for me to write my story!
