  • From Cleveland W. Gibson on Finding Closure Down Memory Lane

There is always something bad , something tragic about returning to places seen in the past. That aspect of nostalgia is clear in this story. when the reader reaches the end it is as if he's been prepared to start again in the sense that nothing has really progressed enough to make a final ending. The loss is there.
How I wonder if names had been given to the two key characters. Romeo would have been one focus and Juliet another but that never happened. So at the end the reader is not really sympathaatec to a character he can't name or realy relate to.
But that can be easily fixed. perhaps by giving out name something might change. And there is another key aspect. The amount of action within the stry. The actual movement.
There is nothing wrong with the story that can't be fixed by a little careful thinking and plotting. Conflict and consequences covers a wide field of the writing entertainment world. Some of the C & C might liven and lighten the plot.
And losing some words to shapen the focus will work wonders for the pace.
I'd be tempted to suggest relating the story through the eyes of a named character. Make the reader experience what he experiences and anything that might slow down the pace.
    Best wishes
