what is the maximum length a short story can be? i have one and i'd like to put it up as a draft but im not sure if its too long.

Good question.  Sorry i have no answer, but I just put my first story up and have no idea of the word count.  Just put it up.  If it's too long, you probably know that already.  Peace...L

I think anything under 10,000 words is considered a short story, but it seems to vary.

If it's a really long piece of writing then you could split it to make it easier for the readers. You could still post it all under the original message, just like we're posting replies now. Try posting the start, see what responses you get and if people want to read the next part, and if so post the other parts underneath as replies =)
